Healthy Habits for Life

Living a healthy life is like any other thing we want to do, it is as good as we make it. Everybody wants to feel good, be happy have long life with minimal pain and discomfort. Well The absolute truth is that most of us can. Sure there are special cases of some illness or condition but in general most of us can feel better by living better.

There is a price we have to pay if we are to feel better. We need certain things to maintain our body's internal balance. We need exercise, without this our circulatory and respiratory systems don't get the work out they need and they become weak.

Our whole body suffers and we pile on layer after layer of fat when we don't get enough physical activity but what about food? What we eat, how we eat it and for some when we eat it are all very important. What and how we eat is especially important. Our body requires a balance of various foods and too long out of balance equals not feeling so good.

While there are many sources that try to tell us exactly what our body needs and in one proportion it is hard to believe that every human body requires the same. While it is not too hard to find your happy balance that place where the amount of activity and the foods you eat make you feel good.

The amount of food you consume, what types of foods and in what proportions is a matter of knowing your body. You know if coffee makes you feel yuck and if you don't know its easy to find out, just change the amount you drink. You can just start with recommended portions and eating patterns then make small changes to see where it takes you.

Be careful of fad diets and other fads or trendy things that come up. That is not to say avoid them entirely just be careful and consider all the hype around it but also search out information from those who think the fad is bad and should not be followed.

When you are under a doctors care it is even more important to be health conscious. You are seeing a doctor for something and the more healthy your diet and exercise the sooner you might no longer need treatments or medications. Your physician can help you fine tune your diet and may be able to help you figure what exercise routine will work best for you.

Even is great health is something you are going to have to work up to you can feel better right away. Good health is as much a mater of mental, emotional and some would say spiritual balance as well as the physical. Just starting on a path to improved health is enough to feel better and encourage you to stick with it.

Red Bell Peppers are sweet, juicy, colorful, and surprisingly nutritious: They are excellent sources of many essential nutrients. By weight, red peppers have three times as much vitamin C as citrus fruit. Moreover, red peppers are quite a good source of beta-carotene, and they offer a good amount of fiber and vitamin B6.
